Athens Piraeus port

Piraeus is the port at the south-eastern corner of Athens and the terminus of Metro Line 1 (green line). The Hydra boats leave from Gate E8, about a 10-minute walk from the Piraeus metro station.

  • Metro Line 3: Athens Airport → Piraeus, about 60 minutes, to the Piraeus station under the port's passenger terminal. STASY runs it every 30–60 minutes.
  • X96 express bus: Piraeus ↔ Airport along Poseidonos avenue, about 90 minutes, 24 hours, ticket €5.50 (Athens International Airport – public transport to Piraeus (Metro, X96 bus)).
  • Suburban railway: Airport → Piraeus (via Athens Larissis), about 65 minutes.

From the city centre

  • Metro Line 1 (Piraeus branch): Piraeus is the last stop; walk out to Gate E8.
  • Taxi: a fixed Airport–Piraeus taxi rate is sold at the airport radio-taxi desks.

Public-transport times and fares are not listed here. Check OASA (11185) and STASY on the day.
